Musa quits His Saudi club -Al Nassr

Super Eagles legend Ahmed Musa has become a free agent after Al Nassr confirmed that the player has left the club.

The Saudi Arbian club announced via social media, spelling an end to Musa’s two-year stay at the club.

“Thank you Nigerian falcon, wishing you all the best in the future Ahmed Musa!,” Al Nassr posted.

It now remains to be seen where the 28-year-old’s next destination will be, having already played in Nigeria, Netherlands, England and Russia

Super Eagles captain, Ahmed Musa, has parted ways with his Saudi Arabian club, Al Nassr, two years after joining the club.

Ahmed Musa joined the Saudi side in 2018 from English Premier League side, Leicester City, on a four-year contract.

Despite having two years left on his running contract, the club announced the departure of the former VVV Venlo star on their Twitter handle with a short video.

No reason was given for the termination of the contract by both parties.

The announcement confirmed earlier reports that the 28-year-old was set to leave the club, which he denied.

Musa has been linked with a move to Turkish club Fenerbahce this summer despite a below par campaign with Al Nassr.

The former Kano Pillars forward failed to find the back of the net in 17 league appearances this season and also watched as the Riyadh club lost the championship to bitter rivals Al Hilal.

In his two years stint at the club, the Eagles captain won the 2019 Saudi Arabia League and scored seven goals in 24 appearances that season.
